Tempered Glass

Therefore, tempered glass is used to construct the vast majority of these windows. Despite being single-ply, tempered vehicle glass is treated by heating and quick cooling. Thousands of harmless pebble-like bits with no sharp edges instead of harmful shards are created when the glass breaks, as opposed to dangerous shards.
Both tempered glass and laminated glass have uses outside of the automotive industry. For things like baking and culinary utensils, sunglasses, and some cell phone screens, tempered glass is ideal.
